Resistance Welders
Carando resistance welding equipment rolls, welds, and planishes welded seams. These machines comprise an integral portion of the production lines in the steel drum and pail industries, and home appliance industries.
The first intermediate drum welder, built in 1962, is still in daily production with the original purchaser. This machine has had two(2) upgrades and been retrofitted to enhance product quality. This machine is still producing at production rates of 350-400 units per hour.
This 40-year old machine is still a production "work horse" in 2002.
A 27 year old pail welder, currently with its third owner in Korea, is still in daily production. Carando still offers service and replacement parts, allowing the customer to continue being a productive drum producer.
Forming & Seaming
Carando forming and seaming equipment are used add swedges, beads, and attatch the tops and bottoms to drums and pails.
Numerous Carando Seamers, Flangers and Swedgers, originally manufactured in the early 1950's are still in daily production and are the principal machines in many manufacturing lines. We still supply replacement parts for these machines ranging from frame parts, including casting and fabrications, to seal kits for pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, gears and sprockets for the drive trains, etc.
